Jim Auerbach, M.D., is a holistic medical doctor offering an integrative, preventive, wellness-oriented, emotionally supportive, mind/body approach to Family Medicine. He incorporates nutritional and lifestyle counseling, stress reduction, psychotherapy including Hakomi Therapy, and Osteopathic manipulation along with traditional Western medicine. He is an educator and allows plenty of time for questions and discussion. He encourages people to actively participate in their healthcare.

Dr. Auerbach grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his hospital training in Salinas, California. He opened his first practice in Santa Cruz, California, with main focus on natural childbirth along with family medicine. He moved to Salem, Oregon, in 1981, where he has been in practice for the past twentyeight years. He is a longstanding member of the medical staff of Salem Hospital.

Dr. Auerbach has been a member of the American Holistic Medical Association since 1985, and is also a member of the American Holistic Health Association. He has been board certified in holistic medicine by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. He is also a husband, father, gardener, and musician.
